I'm only blogging to take my mind off of these.....

Oh man! I thought I escaped the really "disgusting food" cravings. I'm just going to be bold here and tell the world about my weight. Well, I was doing great for the first 5 months of pregnancy. 7 lbs total.
Then..... my appetite became raging! Month 6, uh..8lbs in one month!!! One day I went with Bidne to Souplantation and I think I really scared him. I ate soooooo much that I know he was scared to have a pregnant wife one day. The worst part about it, I pounded a giant glass of milk right after. Why?? Why??
Dan has been really good about it but I know that deep inside he is crossing my fingers that I will calm down. Well I went to the doc the other day and he told me that I needed to make good food decisions and ever since then, I have. We'll have to see where it goes for my 28 wk appt!
I'm reeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaalllllllyyyyy hungry right now but in 30 mins I get to take Grandma to Olive Garden for her Bday. If I can just keep myself busy, I won't go make a bowl of corn pops! These are a few things that I love so much while I'm pregs that I could eat them for breakfast.

Baby Crazy... Decisions Decisions

So I am just starting to think about nursery ideas. Ugh.... I really hate anything to do with interior design because for some reason I never like the way I utilize my space and my walls always look bare. To fill in the blank space I am debating on a vinyl tree with birds. I may hate it or get sick of it right away. I love owls but they are being so overdone right now that my authentic love for them looks like everyone else's trendy love for them. AHHHHH.
Also... Do I go for the Vintage Jenny Lind and paint it a fun glossy color? (which is totally biting my sister in law, Mandy's crib but she won't care.) Or, do I buy the super expensive but ever so modern Sparrow Crib? I'm sure by the time that we actually buy anything, I won't get any of these because I will already be sick of them!

.... I keep talking in my sleep and it wakes me up. Like right now I'm awake because I just had a dream that I was in a surf contest (riding a boogie board, hee hee) and my friends that were also in it didn't go in the water because they saw fish. I thought I was so cool and couldn't believe the girls were scared of fish. I was going to win this thing.... Until something bumped against my leg and I looked down. "Shark!" I yelled but it sounded more like an airy high pitch little kid voice (like when you wisper something for them to say loud and they say it just like you said it). Anyways it woke me up because I really said it out loud. 4am wide awake and Dan is out in the living room playing video games still. I think I'll call him when I'm done with this text and make him come to bed now.

I am soooo excited to finally meet you. You have been one in my dreams practically my whole adult life. Please be nice to us and make sure that none of the rioting or grenade throwing reaches these beautiful places pictured. These pictures stink and they are all of the same thing... one side of my living room. You can't see my favorite part, the texture of the wallpaper below. I think you can see it in my "pie face" pictures though.

Probably the last thing that you want to hear when you are pregnant is that your face is really getting full... which is the first thing my client said to me when she saw me today. Here I was taking pride in the fact that I thought all I was getting was a little belly an something else that I really don't mind filling out if you know what I mean and nothing else. Made me pretty much go from feeling like this...

Here is a repeat picture for a brand new reason. Okay you asked for it so here it is. Don't get mad if they make you fat! ORANGE CREAM CUPCAKES

UPDATE 4/4/10!!!! I forgot to put the zest of one orange into the cupcake recipe!

CAKE
Use a white cake mix (OR YOUR OWN WHITE CAKE RECIPE)and follow directions except.....

Sub water with OJ (or for extra Orangey Cupcakes take OJ concentrate and make
your OJ super strong)
Then add 1 tsp of Orange Extract (Best flavor is that McCormic Brand that all
grocery stores carry)

CUPCAKES ARE READY TO BE COOKED NOW

FROSTING
Blend one cube of butter and a block of cream cheese
Slowly add 5 cups of powdered sugar
Slowly add heavy whipping cream for a smoother texture but not runny at all
(I think I usually do 1/2 cup or a little more, I just eyeball it. Keep
it pretty thick though so that it will stay where you put it when you ice)
Last step.. add like 1-1.5 tsp of orange extract

LET THE CUPCAKES COMPLETELY COOL THEN PIPE ON THE FROSTING FROM A GIANT ZIPLOCK WITH A TINY CORNER CUT OFF. YUMMY!

Salad Table

This is our next project. I already bought the seeds for our lettuce and some veggies. Our dogs would totally pee on our garden if it was on the ground so this is a better option for us. Here is a link for directions on how to construct a simple version of it.

Latest Obsession.... Fruit Trees

When we moved in here, there were already 2 trees here. An Orange and Satsuma Mandarin. Orange tree makes about 10 oranges/year and is super ghetto. On the other hand our mardarin tree is awesome. It's in our front yard and people poach them all of the time. Dan caught a lady red handed and her (picture Napoleon Dynamite's Grandma) response was "You guys have the best Mandarin's in the neighborhood, I've tried them all", Dan couldn't even respond to this. Anyone wanting to plant a citrus tree, this is the one I recommend. The fruit is not too attached to the skin so its SUPER easy to peel and no seeds.
Limequat Tree- Dan just bought me one. It's obviously a cross breed between a lime and a kumquat. I just used one when I was cooking chicken. It was pretty good and really juicy. Easier to squeeze than a lime so that was good.
Now I just need my Avocado, Lemon and Grapefruit trees and I will be set! Oh maybe Apricot too!

Animal Cops

Lately I've been sick a lot and I watch animal planet all day long. But why do I watch Animal Cops or those ASPCA commericals? I cry everytime. The first picture is of a dog that lives in a back yard that needs to be weeded, she's starving and dirty... just kidding that's Lucy, she's ours haha. Lucy looks sooooo malnourished but I promise she eats 3 cups of food a day, she's just half coyote or something.

Saddest News Ever!!! No More Domino Magazine!

I just read that the March issue of Domino Mag is the last one ever! My heart is Broken. I waited 3.5 weeks out of the month for this magazine to arrive. As soon as I read it (usually about 3-4 days) I waited for the next eagerly.

Luigi Murenu

Amazing! I went to class for Kerastase this week and Italian Hair Designer, Luigi Murenu showed us his famous "Hair Bow". He's an amazing artist who dresses the hair of the runways such as Viktor and Rolf and Alexander McQueen. His hair design is also fetured frequently in W mag. I was James Peter's model for the style that starts out in very very tight ponytail, it seems to be Luigi's signature. My eyes were instantly lifted and... it hurt! Beauty is pain baby, beauty is pain!
